  • 2 Tbsp grade B maple syrup (If your squash is nice and sweet you can get away with less maple syrup)
  • 3/4 cup plain/unsweetened almond milk (or sub soy milk)
  • 2 Tbsp vegan butter
  • pinch of salt & pepper (to taste)
  • optional add-ins: tasted sage (a few leaves), roasted garlic cloves to taste, cayenne to taste, nutritional yeast to taste
