The lemon flavor is very mild, but they are a really lovely moist muffin. I however, like a very lemony muffin, so I didn't particularly enjoy the flavor.

Quite tasty. Best when heated in the microwave for 15 seconds or so to give it a fresh out of the oven taste

Ingredients

2/3 cup granulated sugar

zest and juice of 1 lemon

2 cup all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

3/4 cup buttermilk or sour cream

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 stick (8 Tablespoons) butter, melted until browned and cooled

2 tbsp poppy seeds

2 tbsp granulated sugar (for topping the batter before baking)

1 cup Powdered Sugar whisked together with 2tbsp of lemon juice-for glaze
