  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • 2 cups sifted cake-and-pastry flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground mace
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups total sultana raisins , and/or golden raisins
  • 1/2 cup candied citron
  • 1/2 cup candied lemon peel
  • 1/2 cup candied orange peel
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped glacé pineapple
  • 1/4 cup red glacé cherries
  • 1/4 cup chopped dried apricots
  • 2/3 cup blanched slivered almonds
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened desiccated coconut
  • 1/4 cup brandy , (approx)
