1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1 tsp. dried oregano

1 ½ lb. ground beef chuck

¼ cup raisins

¼ cup roughly chopped pimiento-stuffed green olives

16 oz. canned whole, peeled tomatoes in juice, crushed

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

5 ripe plantains, peeled, cut lengthwise into ¼″ slices

2 eggs, lightly beaten

1 tbsp. flour

1 cup canola oil
