Chicken wings, tips removed- 1 kg, cleaned and dried with a kitchen towel (about 20 wings) You can use skinless if you prefer, but I like how the skin gets nice and crispy on the grill.

Thick curd- : 3/4 cup ( In the original recipe Monica uses 1 cup cream. Nisha and I used curd/yogurt)

Ginger paste :1/2 tbsp

Garlic paste: 1/2 tbsp

Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp

Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp

Coriander powder: 1 1/2 tsp

Chilli powder: 1/2 tsp (or 2 tsp chilli flakes as in the original recipe which I prefer since chilli powder can sometimes give a raw taste)

Ground black pepper: 1/4 tsp

Lemon juice: 1 tbsp

Dried fenugreek leaves ( Methi leaves): 1 1/2 tsp

Oil: 1 tbsp

Salt: to taste

Optional: Coriander leaves- to garnish ( I didn't use this)

Optional: Chaat masala powder for garnish ( available in most Indian grocery stores- I didn't use this)

Optional: some bell peppers and onions either sauteed on the stove top or skewered and grilled
