1 pound yellow Finn potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-

inch cubes

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1 onion, chopped

1/2 cup sliced garlic

1 teaspoon crushed fennel seeds

2 teaspoons paprika

1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano

2 teaspoons salt

8 cups chicken or shellfish stock, canned low-salt chicken broth, bottled clam juice or water

2 cups chopped, seeded ripe tomatoes, or a 14 1/2-ounce can diced, seeded tomatoes with juices

3/4 pound chorizo sausage, casings removed

2 pounds small clams, scrubbed

1 pound large prawns, peeled and deveined

1/4 cup chopped parsley

Salt and pepper to taste
