1/8 cup white wine
1/2 cup grated cheese, such as old cheddar
9-inch pie shell
1 cup chopped cabbage
2 tbsp. Vinegar
1-2 medium sized baked potatoes, chopped into bite-sized chunks
4 cloves garlic
1 tbsp. Thyme
Coarse salt, to taste
Place butter in a skillet and heat until melted. Chop garlic and add to skillet, cook until lightly browned.
Place all the ingredients, except the pie crust and cheese in a slow cooker. Let the filling simmer on low for 2-3 hours.
Pour filling in pie crust and top with grated cheese, bake in oven at 300 for about ten minutes, or until cheese is nicely melted. Serve hot or cold, as you wish.
