1/4 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper, or to taste

1 medium red onion, halved and sliced

2 large red bell peppers, seeded and sliced 1/4 inch thick

1 large yellow bell pepper, seeded and sliced 1/4 inch thick

2 large banana peppers, seeded and sliced 1/4 inch thick

1 serrano chile, seeded and roughly chopped

salt, to taste

2 plump cloves garlic, pressed

1 tablespoon Italian parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar
