1-1/2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup vodka (optional)

1 cup fresh lemon juice (from 4 to 6 medium lemons)

2 large “pitcher-size” tea bags (for iced tea), such as Tetley or Lipton

1 lemon, thinly sliced or cut into wedges, for garnish
