1/2 pound brown lentils

3 whole Spanish chorizo sausages, about 1/2 pound, or 1/2 pound Portuguese-style linguica (dried, not fresh)

1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons olive oil

3 potatoes, peeled, cut into bite-size pieces

2 carrots, cut into thin rounds

1 green bell pepper, seeded, veins removed, cut into 1-inch dice

1 red bell pepper, seeded, veins removed, cut into 1-inch dice

1 onion, minced

Salt to taste
