1/2 teaspoon salt, divided

1 cup boiling water

2 cloves garlic, grated

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

1 tablespoon tamari sauce (or soy sauce)

1 tablespoon honey

1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

1/2 a small/medium head of cabbage, chopped

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

2-4 large eggs (depending on how hungry you are), fried*

2 scallions, white and green parts, thinly sliced (for garnish)
