Honey, for serving

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons honey

2 cups cornmeal

1 1/2 cups buttermilk

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 stick (or 4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 teaspoon sugar

Grilled peaches, for serving

1 large egg, lightly beaten
