Ingredients for 2 servings

Dough for one 12-inch pizza, made in a bread machine (see related recipe at left)

Cornmeal for dusting

Extra-virgin olive oil for brushing

6 plum tomatoes, peeled, seeded and diced, or 1/4 cup tomato sauce

1/3 lb. mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

1/4 lb. spicy Italian sausage, removed from casing and crumbled into small pieces

1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices

1 Tbs. chopped fresh oregano
