Ingredients for 4 servings

1 lb ground beef

1 egg

1 onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup bread crumbs

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

ground nutmeg, to taste allspice, to taste

olive oil

lingonberry jam

Preparation

1.

In a medium bowl, combine the bread crumbs with the milk and stir, allowing the crumbs to absorb the milk. Add the ground beef, onion, egg, salt, ground black pepper and spices to taste. Mix well and form into golf ball sized meatballs.

Heat olive oil in skillet over medium to medium high heat and add the meatballs. Carefully shake the skillet to turn the meat- balls, as needed. Saute for 10 to 15 min- utes, or until meatballs are browned on all sides.Transfer the meatballs to a serving platter, reserving the liquid in the skillet.

3.

Add lingonberry sauce on top of meatballs.
