about 4 medium-large tomatoes, chopped

1 medium onion, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

3-4 red potatoes, diced

1 cup dry white wine

2 cups water

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

optional: bay leaf, bouquet garni, fresh parsley for garnish
