8 ounces green beans, trimmed and cut into 1 1/2-inch lengths

1 tablespoon vegetable or canola oil

2 tablespoons black bean paste or dried fermented black beans, rinsed and crushed

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1/2 teaspoon minced fresh ginger

1 small yellow onion, peeled and cut lengthwise into 1/4-inch slices

1 tablespoon dry white wine

1/2 cup turkey or chicken stock

2 teaspoons soy sauce

2 teaspoons oyster sauce

1/2 can (6-ounce can) of sliced water chestnuts, drained

1 cup turkey (cut into 1 1/2-inch lengths and similar size to the beans)

Pinch of sugar
