Ingredients for 8 servings

3-5 x ancho chilies, stems and seeds removed

1/3 cup almonds

1 tbsp sesame seeds

1 x yellow onion, sliced

1 x clove garlic, chopped

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp tomato paste

1/4 cup prunes, pitted, or raisins

1/4 tsp each cinnamon, clove, oregano, cumin, coriander and anise

1 tsp salt

1 cup (or more as needed) hot water or chicken stock

1 oz unsweetened chocolate
