1 bay leaf

1 dash hot sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion , finely chopped

3 cloves garlic , finely chopped

2 cups heavy cream

1 large dungeness crab, cooked meat from (1.5-2.5 lbs)

1 cup dry white wine

1/4 cup cognac

4 cups chicken broth

2 cups tomato sauce

1/2 cup carrot , finely chopped

1/2 cup celery , finely chopped

salt and pepper, to taste
