1/2 cup 100-percent pure canned pumpkin

1/4 cup whole or low-fat milk

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 to 4 cups confectioners' sugar sifted, plus more for optional dusting
