Chocolate Cookies

The original recipe is from The Hummingbird Bakery’s cooking book, I just added some hazel nuts to get my own twist to these yummies, and I also used both milk and dark chocolate.

Ingredients for 10 servings

25 g butter

225 g chopped chocolate (I prefer large bites, you do as you wish)

1 egg

1 dl brown sugar

0,65 dl flour

0,25 tsp salt

0,25 tsp baking powder

0,5 dl chopped hazel nuts

Preparation

Pre-heat the oven to 170 degrees. Melt HALF of the chocolate together with the butter. Mix the egg and sugar, and add gently the melted chocolate-butter mix to the egg-sugar mixture. Mix the flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl, and add into the dough in 3 parts – make sure the flour mixes well to the dough before adding he next portion of the flour mix to it.

Add the rest of the chocolate to the dough, together with the hazel nuts. Divide the dough into baking tray depending on how large cookies you wish to prepare. Bake for 10-15 minutes, and be very careful with the baking. When you see small cracks on the crust, take them out of the oven. Cool down a bit, and enjoy with… what else than a large glass of cold milk!
