2 cups fresh basil
3/4 cups olive oil
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup pine nuts
2 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp salt
Toast pine nuts in skillet over low heat until golden brown. (Optional step - some prefer toasted flavor better than raw pine nuts)
Remove basil leaves from stems and wash. Then place is food processor and chop finely.
Finely chop or use garlic press to add garlic to food processor. You can start with 1 clove and add second if desired. I love more garlic.
Add olive oil, parmesan cheese and salt to other ingredients in food processor. Blend the shit out of it into smooth.
