1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup natural sugar, or more for a sweeter version

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Dash ground cinnamon, optional

1 cup canola oil

1 large apple, chopped (1 cup)
