2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup thinly sliced spring onions, or 1/4 cup thinly sliced shallots

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup shelled and peeled fava beans or shelled peas

Salt and pepper to taste

Wine vinegar to taste
