1/4 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley

6 fresh bay leaves

1/4 cup apple brandy (recommended ( Calvados)

1 teaspoon salt , plus more as needed

12 fresh sage leaves

2-3 cups apple cider

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 small onion , peeled and coarsely chopped

olive oil , for oiling pan
