1/2 teaspoon saffron thread

5 pints water (3 litres)

6 fluid ounces water (175ml)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

8 ounces dried garbanzo beans , soaked overnight and drained (225g)

1 medium onion , chopped

1 lemon, juice of

pepper , to taste

3 tablespoons flour
