Leaves from 1 bunch parsley

1 cup green beans, trimmed and cut into 1/2-inch pieces

4 cups low-sodium chicken broth

Salt and pepper to taste

1 clove garlic, halved

1 bunch green onions, white and green parts thinly sliced separately
