One 28oz can crushed tomatoes (I used Utopia organic, salted)

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1/2 medium onion, diced (yield: 1 cup diced)

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp dried oregano

Pinch red pepper flakes

1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves, stems removed &chopped finely

1 tsp kosher salt, or to taste

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1/2 cup nutritional yeast

2 large handfuls spinach, roughly chopped

1/2-3/4 cup walnuts, roughly chopped

Pasta of your choice (I used Kamut spaghetti)
