2 tablespoons orange juice

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 pinch salt

1/3 cup pecan halves , chopped

1/2-1 teaspoon orange zest , finely chopped

10 fluid ounces buttermilk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

2 tablespoons butter
