  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken thighs, trimmed of excess fat and cut into bite-size pieces
  • 3 Tbsps soy sauce
  • 1-inch length ginger root, peeled and finely grated
  • 1 Tbsp whisky, dry sherry, or sake (optional)
  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • Vegetable oil for deep frying
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsps wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp dark (Asian) sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds, to garnish (optional)
  • 1/2 lb green beans, trimmed and chopped in half
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
