1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional or to taste)

1 pinch dried thyme or dried oregano

4 cups chicken broth

1-2 teaspoon black pepper (to taste)

1/4 cup orzo pasta

1-2 tablespoon fresh minced garlic

1 small onion , chopped

salt (to taste)

2 cups long grain white rice

1/2 cup lemon juice (use fresh lemon juice if possible)

3-4 tablespoons butter or olive oil
