1 tablespoon soy sauce

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced

1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, 3/4-inch thick, cut into very thin strips

1 large green or red pepper, cut into 2-inch-long strips (about 2 cups)
