  • 4 cup Merlot or other dry red wine
  • 5 tbsp honey
  • 1 large orange
  • 2 x cinnamon sticks, broken in half
  • 1/2 tbsp pickling spice
  • 1/4-1/2 cup port, brandy, or cognac – optional
