1 cup soft butter
1/2 cub powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
3 tbsp flax seed (optional)
Mix all of the above ingredients throughly until it is sticking together. Roll into balls or I use an ice cream scoop that has a thumb push out to make dome shaped cookies with flat bottoms; this is much easier and creates perfect size cookies.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet until set, but not brown at 400 degrees for about 12-15 minutes.
After taking out while warm roll in extra powdered sugar until fully covered. Let cool and enjoy. This makes about 20-24 cookies for one batch depending on size.
