It's a shame! As a brazillian I can say: That is not Caipirinha, for sure.The real caipirinha is like this:2 limes with the green skin partially removed (remove about 80 or 3 Tb spoon of sugar150ml or 200ml of cachaça - depending of how strong you wantice.(you may substiture the cachaça with vodka)cut limes in four, put in a mason jar with sugar and use a morter (preferencially wood made) to press and mix lime with sugar, add the cachaça, or vodka, fill with ice.Use a straw to stir and/or drink.Enjoy (you want make it christmas caipirinha, toss some snow over).

Peel from 4 large limes (green part only; removed with vegetable peeler in 2-inch-long strips)

1 cup fresh lime juice

8 1/4-inch-thick slices peeled fresh ginger

1/4 cup sugar

30 large fresh mint leaves plus 10 fresh mint sprigs for garnish

1 cup Brazilian rum (such as cachaça)
