2 tablespoons maple syrup

Dash of salt

2 cups vertically sliced yellow onion

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme

1/4 teaspoon salt

Remaining ingredients:

1/2 cup (4 ounces) gorgonzola cheese, softened
