• 1-1 1/2 lb cod or other white fish
• 1 (8 oz) can chipotle chilies , minced
• 1 cup sour cream
• 2 eggs
• 1 garlic clove , minced
• Fish
• 2 Tbsps lime juice
• For the chipotle cream sauce
• 1/2 tsp sugar
• 2 ozs canned chipotle peppers
• For the batter
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp grated lime zest
• 2 tsps salt
• 2 cups beer (recommended Tecate)
• 2 tsps baking powder
• 2 Tbsps cornstarch
