Great! Wish I had put it in a larger/shallower baking dish so there was room for more potatoes on top. I sweated the onions before hand and used gluten free subs. with the flour and beer and olive oil in place of butter. Classic tasting delicious dish with nice simple flavors.

3 tablespoons melted butter

1 large yellow onion, chopped

3 large carrots, cut into 3/4 inch pieces

Coarse salt and fresh ground pepper

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 pound ground beef

2 teaspoons fresh thyme

1 cup dark beer

2 tablespoons flour

1 cup frozen peas

1 large russet potato, sliced very thin
