1.5 kg chicken
1 tbsp hara masala
1 tbsp whole peppercorns
1 tsp turmeric powder
to taste salt
2 cups water
2 tbsps oil
3 red chillies
3 cups basmati rice
Slice the onions.
Make slits on the chicken for easy marination.
Mix the turmeric powder, salt, hara masala, chilli powder and crushed peppercorns and marinate the chicken in it.
Heat oil in a pan. Fry the onions till slightly brown.
Add the chicken and then cook with the lid till the water leaves the chicken.
Add 2 cups water and then cook till chicken is half cooked.
Take the lid off and then add the chopped green chillies and then boil till the gravy thikens.
Serve with hot basmati rice.
