1 pint strawberries
2 cups white rum
1 cup simple syrup
10 leaves basil
2 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
In a hand blender, liquify the Strawberries until very smooth.
Combine strawberries, rum and simple syrup and cool. Can be made ahead of time.
When ready to serve, muddle half the basil leaves in a large shaker with an ice cube and the OJ.
Add the strawberry concoction, mix and pour into tumblers with lots of ice cubes. Slap a basil leaf between your palms and insert one into each glass.
Careful. It goes down easy...
