1 lemon, cut into quarters

1 cup small dried pasta such as ditalini or tiny bow ties

3 stems of Swiss Chard – thick woody ends removed and leaves & ribs roughly chopped

salt and pepper, to taste

optional garnish: fresh grated Parmesan cheese
