Ingredients for 2 servings

2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

2 squabs, 12 to 16 ounces each, cleaned and rinsed

2 tablespoons rice wine or dry sherry

Steamed long grain white rice, accompaniment

3 tablespoons light soy sauce

1 cup roughly chopped green onions (white and green parts)

Homemade Plum Sauce, recipe follows

1 teaspoon salt

3 cups chicken stock

2 tablespoons dark soy sauce

Minced green onions, garnish

2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger

1 tablespoon honey
