1 tablespoon smooth applesauce

2/3 cup brown rice syrup

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup whole wheat flour

1 cup rolled oat , quick cooking

1/3 cup margarine

3-3 1/2 tablespoons craisins (or raisins)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 egg whites

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

3-4 tablespoons chopped walnuts or miniature chocolate chips

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
