hot water

2-1/2 cups (300 g) unbleached all-purpose flour

1 cup (175 g) sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup (4.5 ounces/128 g)shelled pistachio nuts
