1 tsp baking powder

1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp table salt

6 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened

1/2 c. granulated sugar

1/2 c. dark brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 Tbsp finely grated fresh ginger root

3 Tbsp chopped crystallized ginger

1 tsp vanilla extract

2/3 c. sour cream

5 firm but ripe apricots, chopped

1 Tbsp granulated sugar

1 Tbsp all-purpose flour

Turbinado sugar, for sprinkling over top
