Ingredients

1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, at room temperature

1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed

1 x egg, lightly beaten

1 cup sour cream

1/4 cup molasses, not blackstrap

1/2 cup raisins, dried cranberries, dried currants or diced dried apricots

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup wheat bran (not cereal)
