1/2 cup water

Kosher salt and pepper

1 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 small can (8.25 ounces) pickled beets

1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds

1 teaspoon freshly grated horseradish root or prepared horseradish, or to taste

Spicy brown mustard
