1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

4 cups pumpkin puree or pumpkin pie filling

4 cups chicken stock or vegetable stock

3 tablespoons butter

1 1/2 tablespoons curry powder

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 1/2 cups chopped onions

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 cups whipping cream or 2% low-fat milk (if you want to cut the fat)
