Ingredients

4 pounds medium apples, Fiji or Cortland preferred, peeled, halved and cored and cut into thin slices

4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/3 cup chopped crystallized ginger

1/3 cup caramel sauce, divided

2 ½ cups old-fashioned oats

1 ½ cups light brown sugar

1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

2 sticks unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
