I improvised a tiny bit - ended up using chicken thighs instead of a whole chicken, limes instead of lemons, and added onions to the veggies. Still turned out great! Would suggest adding a tiny bit of water to the bottom of the pan while cooking though.

Ingredients for 4 servings

1 4-pound whole chicken, rinsed and thoroughly dried

1 cup basil leaves, thinly sliced

5 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature

2 lemons

5 garlic cloves, very thinly sliced

2 scallions, very thinly sliced

flakey coarse sea salt

1 3/4 pounds small to medium potatoes (about 1 1/2 inches in diameter), cut lengthwise into quarters

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1/2 good-sized bunch parsley, stems trimmed to 1 inch (1 1/2 packed cups)
