Ingredients for 12 servings

Ingredients For The Cake

250 gr of white flour

200 ml of Dry Stout (Guiness does the trick pretty good)

120 gr of butter

4 eggs

4 tbs cocoa

300 gr sugar

1 pack of baking powder

For The Glaze:

100 gr of chocolate

2 tbsp of Dry Stout

The first thing you’d want to do is to take the butter out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before the whole cooking begins. You then mix it with the sugar and add the eggs until the whole mixture is homogeneous.

Sift flour, baking powder and cocoa and when constantly whipping add the mixture from step one, with the dry stout. Pour the mixture into a greased baking tin. Bake the chocolate cake with dark beer in a preheated 180 degree oven. You can check if the cake is done with a toothpick. If it’s dry then the cake is ready. The whole baking process takes around 45 minutes.

When waiting for the cake to bake you can prepare the icing. It is really easy to make. Crush the chocolate in pieces and add the stout . Use a bain-marie for this part. The chocolate mixture has to remain creamy so it could stick to the cake.

When the cake is baked wait for it to cool down and then cover it with the glaze. Then enjoy!
